Tripsichord’s self-titled album, originally released on the Janus label in 1970, is a quintessential piece of late 1960s and early 1970s psychedelic rock. The band, originally known as Tripsichord Music Box before shortening their name, was part of the burgeoning San Francisco music movement. The record is characterized by swirling guitar riffs, intricate melodies, rich vocal harmonies, and a mystic sound encompassing both guitar-driven psych rock and reflective, melodic folk. Though not widely commercially successful, the album has become a sought-after collector's item, celebrated for its authentic representation of the psych era.
