We offer FREE shipping on orders of $100 or more. All media orders (vinyl/CD/cassette) will ship via USPS media mail. Italian cinematic funk heroes Calibro 35 return with the Deluxe Edition of their acclaimed studio album Exploration, set for digital worldwide release on February 6th via Record Kicks. The expanded edition features three brand-new bonus tracks, further enriching the band's signature blend of deep grooves, jazz funk, and cinematic flair.
The previously unreleased tracks include a soulful rendition of the jazz standard "Harlem Nocturne", a vibrant afrobeat take on Grover Washington Jr.'s timeless jazz-funk classic "Mister Magic", and a powerful reinterpretation of Can's krautrock anthem "Vitamin C"-recently brought back into the spotlight through Kanye West's sampling. Each track bears the unmistakable Calibro 35 touch: cinematic elegance, funk rhythms, and groove. Also on the 06 of February, "Mister Magic and "Vitamin C" will be also released on a limited edition 45 clear orange vinyl, a real collector's item. Praised by Rolling Stone as "the most fascinating, retro-maniac and genuine thing that has happened to Italy in the past few years," Calibro 35 have earned an international reputation as one of the most exciting independent bands on the scene. Their music has been sampled by Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, and The Child of Lov (featuring Damon Albarn), and they've collaborated with icons such as PJ Harvey, Mike Patton, and Stewart Copeland. With Exploration (Deluxe Edition), the Milan-based combo continues to expand the boundaries of their cinematic funk universe. To celebrate the release, Calibro 35 will embark on a new tour starting mid-October, including two special U.S. shows in Miami and Los Angeles, followed by a European run with stops in Barcelona, Berlin, Paris, and London.
