Inspired by the trailblazing fighting spirit of Bruce Lee, James cements his reputation as a genre-defying innovator a la heroes Miles Davis, Erykah Badu and David Bowie. Produced by James and featuring an all-star lineup including Ben Wendel, Takuya Kuroda and BIG YUKI, “Revenge of The Dragon” searches through the streets of New York, LA and Tokyo to find the perfect gritty slice of late 70’s jazz. A celebration of the year of his birth, the insatiable musical omnivore James pulls from the catalog of the Rolling Stones, Rod Temperton, the Bee Gees and Herbie Hancock placing these gems next to four outstanding originals. Enlisting the writing efforts of Grammy nominated songwriters Kaveh Rastergar and Talia Billig, this is one of James’ strongest and most fascinating works to date.
