Queen Budapest captures a pivotal moment for Queen: the 40th anniversary of the first Western stadium rock show behind the Iron Curtain, and the final filmed live performance featuring Freddie Mercury.
Filmed on 27 July 1986 at Budapest’s Népstadion during Queen’s The Magic Tour, the concert drew 80,000 fans inside, with an estimated 45,000 more listening outside. Some travelled from as far as Russia and Poland to witness this historic show.
Meticulously restored from the original 35mm footage by Sir Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post Production in New Zealand, Queen Budapest also features newly remixed audio from the original multitrack recordings for its most immersive presentation yet.
At the height of their live powers, Queen tear through We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, A Kind Of Magic, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Under Pressure, Who Wants To Live Forever, Hammer To Fall and Bohemian Rhapsody.
